Ted May, Board Member  

 

Ted May came to the University of Denver in 1995 as the Director of the Learning Effectiveness Program (LEP). His academic background is in psychology, history, counseling and Special Education. He has been a secondary teacher in a mainstream classroom teaching psychology, history, social studies and also as a special education teacher at the junior and senior high school level teaching students with learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional issues, and students with physical disabilities. Ted spent ten years working for the Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System at the Community College of Aurora (CCA). At CCA Ted had oversight of a variety of student service programs including: academic advising, career development, student programs, disability services, counseling need program, the international student program and non-traditional student programs. During his last two years at CCA he also directed The Learning Resource Center that included tutoring, the computer access laboratory, GED testing and Supplemental Service.
