of learning disabled children and adults.
What is the LDAC?
The Learning Disabilities Association of Colorado is affiliated with the
Learning Disabilities Association of America, a national organization
with over 60,000 active members. LDAC participates in lobbying legislators
and school board members on behalf of learning disabled individuals. LDAC
also collects current research on the subject of learning disabilities,
distributes updated information on remediation practices, publishes a
quarterly newsletter, and maintains a lending library. Finally, LDAC attends
staffings and presents workshops and conferences throughout Colorado to
provide parents and teachers with the most up-to-date information on learning
disability issues.
LDAC Mission Statement:
The Learning Disabilities Association of Colorado is committed to supporting
the potential of individuals with learning and attention disabilities
through accurate identification, advocacy, and education.
LDAC Vision:
A self sustaining organization recognized statewide for its expertise,
influence and effectiveness in supporting the learning disability community.
